Softbatch Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Hubby Deliciousness Meter: 9/10

I usually go for the refrigerated dough stuff but this recipe trumphs it times a million!

Chewy, ooey, and gooey! Yummy. Softbatch double chocolate chip cookies (:

Especially useful when aunt flow is in town. Fun to make as a family too!

And quick to put together. This yields around 12 cookies!

* 1 stick of butter

* Whole block of cream cheese

* 3/4 cup of brown sugar

* 1/4 cup of regular granulated sugar

* 1 egg

* 2 tsp vanilla extract

* 1 1/2 cups of flour

* 2 tsp of corn starch

* 1 tsp of baking powder

* 1/3 cup of cocoa powder

* Chocolate chips

* 1 chocolate bar (Hershey's, Cadbury, whatever kind!)

Total Prep Time: 15 minutes.

Total Cooking Time:  30 minutes.

INGREDIENTS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Place 1 stick of butter and a whole block of cream cheese into a microwaveable mixing bowl.

  3. Microwave butter and cream cheese until softened or almost melted (about 1 or 2 minutes).

  4. Go ahead and whip these together, then tear up pieces of the chocolate bar and throw them in.

  5. Mix until chocolate bar is melted almost completely.

  6. Then add to the mixing bowl (in this order):
    3/4 cups of brown sugar
    1/4 cup of white granulated sugar
    1 egg
    2 tsp vanilla extract

  7. Beat these ingredients together until smooth, then continue to add:
    2 cups of flour
    2 tsp of corn starch
    1 tsp of baking powder
    1/3 cup of cocoa powder
    Chocolate chips

  8. Whip all of this together, grease a cookie/baking sheet, and spoon the dough onto the sheet.

  9. Bake for 10-15 minutes.

  10. Serve and devour (when cooled of course!).

NOTE: Pssst! I made these in cupcake tins too, because it is less of a mess.

Turned out yummy but I had to bake for 20 minutes.
