YumYum Goulash

Goulash…the American way! Well not exactly, since it has many worldly flavors including curry, oregano, and basil. But this dish makes a hearty and flavorful dinner. The meat and spices may be subbed.
Whether you are cooking for two or more, adjust portions for meat, spices and veggies as desired.

 

 

 


* Ground beef or ground turkey or ground chicken or ground sausage
* Onion powder/salt

* 3 tbsp of butter

* 1 can of tomato sauce
* 2 cups of elbow macaroni (uncooked)
* Half of a white onion
* 3 garlic cloves (or 3 tsp minced)
*1/2 can of diced tomato (or 4oz)
* half a celery stalk
* 3 tbsp soy sauce
* 1 tbsp of: Oregano, basil, salt & pepper

*Curry (OPTIONAL)
 

Total Prep Time: 15 minutes.

Total Cooking Time:  30 minutes.

INGREDIENTS

  1. Slice onions, mince garlic, and chop celery.

  2. Heat a saucepan/pot  & melt 3 tbsp of butter.

  3. Add meat & brown halfway.

  4. Stir in onions.

  5. Stir in garlic.

  6. Stir in tomato sauce.

  7. Add in 2 cups macaroni.

  8. Simmer until macaroni is halfway fork tender.

  9. Stir in diced tomato.

  10. Stir in celery.

  11. Stir in 3tbsp soy sauce.

  12. Add basil, oregano, salt & pepper (or whatever spices you’d like).

  13. Add in curry (OPTIONAL).

  14. Stir.

  15. Simmer for 15 minutes on medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.

  16. When meat is thoroughly cooked & macaroni is tender, serve!
