Cabbage Roll Soup

Cabbage roll soup! I usually do not cook with cabbage, but this was a delicious soup!

Remember, cabbage does not shrivel like cooking spinach, but it does soften up.

Don't use too much rice, as it will absorb the broth.

* Beef Broth

*Ground beef and/or pork

*Vegetable Flavored Rice

*Onions

*Garlic

*Celery

*Cabbage

*Diced Tomatoes

*Worcestshire sauce

*Thyme & Bay 

*Vegetable Juice (Optional)

 

 

Total Prep Time:  10 minutes

Total Cooking Time:  20-30 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  1. Chop up the onion & garlic, then sautee' in a pot with butter/oil

  2. After it becomes fragrant brown the meat.

  3. When the meat is browned add in the broth, tomatoes, and rice.

  4. While it's simmering chop up thecabbage and celery, throw it in!

  5. Add some Vegeatble juice (optional) and worcestshire sauce.

  6. Sprinkle thyme and dried bay leaf.

  7. Simmer and serve! Goes great with garlic bread.
